Happy 6 months, Joey!

It occurred to me recently that there's an unfortunate gap between my post before and after Joey's birth.  I went from the joy of sharing his nursery to the rather grim post about his health scare.  I have to get better about sharing things along the way.  (I am so sorry, friends.)

So today, I thought I would share something fun - our boy is 6 months old this week!

It's crazy to think we have had him for half a year!  Everyone says it, but it's because it's true: time flies!  I remember being so emotional the day before Joey turned one month old.  It was a culmination of a lot of feelings, but the one that stood out most to me was knowing how fast everything would feel to me for the rest of his life.  There are several milestones to go, I know.  But I find myself looking back at photos and videos (which there are thousands of at this point, no matter how often I clean them out) and I cannot believe that in 6 short months, we have gotten to experience his birth, bring him home, watch our dogs and family love him, see his first grins, listen to his first laughs, see him roll over, and watch him take in the world around him and learn something new every day.

I'm not sure I can describe the way the days and weeks go by in the blink of an eye.  So rather than type, I thought I would let time itself do the talking for me.  Here are some of my favorite moments we've gotten to share with our boy so far.



Happy six months, sweet Joey.  You truly are our greatest adventure!
